Who can submit a referral?
Parents, guardians, schools, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and other appropriate referral sources may submit a referral. A referral does not guarantee enrollment or a particular service.
What happens after an intake or referral is submitted?
Our team reviews the information and contacts the family or referral source. We may request additional documents or details before discussing eligibility, assessment, and service options.
How quickly can services begin?
Timing varies based on the child’s needs, required documents, eligibility, assessment, insurance requirements, and provider availability. Our team will explain the expected process after reviewing the submission.

Do you accept Medicaid?
Medicaid-funded services are available to eligible clients. Coverage and available services depend on eligibility, assessment, medical necessity, health-plan requirements, and provider availability.
Will services cost my family anything?
Eligible Medicaid-funded services may be available at no cost to the family. Coverage must be verified, and plan requirements apply. Our team will discuss coverage before services begin.
Does a referral guarantee that my child will receive services?
No. A referral begins the review process. Enrollment and services depend on eligibility, assessed needs, medical necessity, coverage requirements, and whether Peter Project can appropriately meet the child’s needs.

Where are services provided?
Peter Project primarily provides support in the child’s home and in appropriate community settings. The setting depends on the child’s needs, care plan, service requirements, and safety considerations.
What services does Peter Project provide?
Services may include Skills Training & Development, Medication Training & Support, Targeted Case Management, assessments and care planning, Individual & Family Therapy, and Crisis Intervention & Safety Planning. Availability depends on eligibility and assessed need.
How is my child’s care plan created?
Care planning begins with assessment of the child’s needs, strengths, functioning, family goals, and available supports. Services, goals, frequency, and intensity are individualized and reviewed as progress is made.
How will I know whether my child is making progress?
The care team tracks progress toward measurable goals using service documentation, family input, observed functioning, and scheduled reviews. The plan may be updated when needs or progress change.

Faith & family participation
Do families have to be Christian to receive services?
No. Peter Project welcomes every eligible family. Faith-based support is optional and is never required to receive behavioral health services.
How is faith included in services?
Faith-based support may be included only when the client or guardian chooses it and when it is appropriate to the client’s goals. Professional services remain evidence-based, individualized, and focused on behavioral health needs.
How are parents and guardians involved?
Parents and guardians are important members of the care team. Depending on the child’s plan and service, they may participate in assessment, goal setting, planning, coordination, progress reviews, and skills reinforcement at home.
Is Peter Project an emergency service?
No. Peter Project is not an emergency response service. If someone is in immediate danger or needs urgent emergency help, call 911 or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
