Our team provides supportive, community-based services that help clients build practical skills, strengthen emotional and behavioral functioning, and work toward their individualized goals.

Position Overview

Peter Project Outreach is seeking compassionate, dependable, and mission-minded Community Support Services Providers (CSSPs) to support clients and families through community-based behavioral health services.
The CSSP will assist clients with practicing treatment-plan goals, building coping skills, improving communication, strengthening daily living skills, and connecting with appropriate community supports. Services may be provided in the home, school, or community setting.

Key Responsibilities

The CSSP may be responsible for:

  • Providing community support services to children, adolescents, and families
  • Supporting clients with emotional, behavioral, social, and daily living skills
  • Helping clients practice coping strategies and treatment-plan goals in real-life settings
  • Assisting with community integration and resource connection
  • Supporting skill-building activities in the home, school, and community
  • Communicating client progress, needs, and concerns to supervisors
  • Completing timely and accurate documentation
  • Following agency policies, confidentiality standards, and compliance requirements
  • Participating in required training, supervision, and team communication

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

  • At least three years of experience providing mental health community support services prior to August 31, 2004, as applicable to CSSP qualifications
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, families, or individuals with behavioral health needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in home, school, and community settings
  • Ability to pass required background checks
  • Ability to complete required agency trainings
  • Ability to complete timely and accurate service documentation

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in behavioral health, social services, foster care, mentoring, case management, or community outreach
  • Ability to engage clients and families in a professional and supportive manner
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
