Our services are community-based and designed to support clients in the home, school, and community setting.
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and dependable QMHP-CS team members to provide skills training, behavioral support, and community-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and families.
The QMHP-CS (Qualified Mental Health Professional – Community Services) will help clients build practical skills related to emotional regulation, coping, communication, social interaction, behavior management, independent living, and daily functioning.
Key Responsibilities
The QMHP-CS may assist with:
- Providing skills training and development in the home, school, and community
- Teaching coping skills, problem-solving, communication, and emotional regulation
- Supporting clients with behavior management and daily functioning skills
- Helping clients practice treatment-plan goals in real-life settings
- Providing parent/caregiver support as appropriate
- Completing timely and accurate service documentation
- Participating in treatment team communication and supervision
- Following agency, Medicaid, and compliance guidelines
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, counseling, human services, education, criminal justice, or a related field
- Experience working with children, adolescents, families, foster care youth, or individuals with behavioral health needs preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently in community settings
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Willingness to complete required agency trainings
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Medicaid documentation
- Experience providing skills training, mentoring, case management, or behavioral health support
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care
